Why it exists

A clear goal and a willing team can still fail, when nobody asks who will carry the work, or what AI could carry instead.

LEAP is Leverage, Energy, Ambition and Practice. It is a goal-setting framework in which human capacity and AI leverage are required fields on every goal, not separate programmes running alongside it. Ambition, Energy and Leverage multiply rather than add, so a near-zero in any one drags the whole result down. Practice, the small repeated rituals, keeps the other three from sliding back. LEAP was built by Ekta Das and Swapnil Jain.

The four declarations

01

Ambition: what are we aiming at, and how does it serve the bigger purpose?

02

Measure: how will we know, and does that number exist today?

03

Energy: who actually does this work, can they carry it, and what are we taking off their plate?

04

Leverage: what does AI do, so a person doesn’t have to?

What it rules out

OKR LEAP Framework

A goal that cannot answer Measure, Energy and Leverage does not get set

No fifth priority for a team already carrying four

No goal set on a number nobody measures

The AI question asked at the start, not in month nine as a rescue

FAQ

Leverage, Energy, Ambition and Practice. Growth = Ambition × Energy × Leverage, sustained by Practice.

The MEAL test is four questions asked of a single goal before it is committed: Measure, Energy, Ambition, Leverage. A goal that cannot answer Measure, Energy and Leverage does not get set.

LEAP does not replace OKRs. It completes them.

Because a near-zero in any one drags the whole result down. Great goals with an exhausted team still get nothing; a happy team with no clear goals drifts; great AI with no goals and no trust gets bought and abandoned.
